MultiUser FileSystem Install
============================
If you are using MultiUser FileSystem on your Amiga you may want to install
the MultiUser version of Ami-FileSafe.
It will help you if you have made sure you understand the standard MultiUser
filing system package before installing MultiUser AFS.
If you have not installed the standard MultiUser package you should do this
first (You can obtain this from various PD libraries including aminet).
1) Load Workbench as root
2) Double click on the Install_muAFS or Install_muAFS_020 icon from the
floppy disk:
If you have the 68000 version of multiuser.library you must use the
Install_muAFS icon.
If you have the 020+ version of multiuser.library you must use the
Install_muAFS_020 icon.
This script will copy the MultiUser version of Ami-FileSafe into your l:
directory and patch your multiuser.library (In libs:) to support AFS.
3) When you have made your Ami-FileSafe partition(s) you can change them
over to MultiUser partitions.
You should now make a new set of keyfiles. Delete all your old keyfiles
and then make a new set (See the standard MultiUser manual). When you
make the keyfiles include the AFS partition you wish to use with MultiUser
AFS.
4) Follow the instructions in the AFS manual from section 6D, but use
L:muAFS instead of L:HardDiskAFS and 0x6d754146 instead of 0x41465301.
When you get to section 6E you should instead:
Enable advanced options.
Click on each of the AFS partitions that you decided to change to MultiUser
AFS. Click on "Change" and select muA\46 as the file system (If you are using
an older version of HDToolBox then you can click on "Custom File System" and
type in 0x6d754146 as the identifier).
Do not change any other settings.
Save your changes and reboot.
If you get a Invalid keyfiles message then you have incorrectly setup the
keyfiles. You will need to boot off your workbench disk and load HDToolBox
from floppy. Change the partitions back to AFS\1 and reboot. Start again
from step 3.
If you have any problems contact Fourth Level Developments, preferably by
email, with a full report including system configuration data and your
registration number.
